How can you use ChartsyAI?
ChartsyAI transforms your data queries into insightful visualizations, acting as your personal data analyst. This guide explains how to use ChartsyAI to get answers related to your ecommerce.
Step 1: Write what you'd like to see
You need to make sure that your prompt starts with "Show me". The more clear and precise your statement, the better ChartsyAI will interpret it. We've made sure to include prompt examples such as:
Show me the product that has generated the most revenue in January 2024;
Show me the top 10 locations of my buyers;
Show me my product sales through the months for 2023;
Show me my top three customers for December 2023;
Step 2: Click "Create Chart"
Click the "Create Chart" button to initiate the analysis and generate your graph. Please note that chart generation can take up to 3 minutes. To ensure smooth processing, avoid clicking the button multiple times during this period.
Results
The generated answer has the best fitting visualization & is based on your BigCommerce data. You can also download it as a PNG (like any of the other graphs in the dashboard).
💡New Feature Update: Change the visualisation style!
Once your chart has been generated, you can easily change the visualization style to suit your needs. ChartsyAI offers flexibility in how your data is presented, whether as a bar chart, pie chart, line graph, or others.
You can select a different option from the chart-type dropdown menu, located above the chart. Available options depending on your question include:
Bar Chart
Pie Chart
Line Graph

Understanding Chartsy AI errors
Chartsy AI uses AI technologies in its back-end to provide the requested results.
Currently, this includes OpenAI's models. As our infrastructure and product improve, the intent is to include ethical alternatives and also the best results.
If you encounter any errors within Chartsy AI, here are some quick ways on how to resolve them:
"It seems that your request isn't in the right format. Please check the tips and try again!"
Ensure your sentence starts with "Show me." If it does and the issue persists, the problem might be with the sentence structure itself. Try rewriting your request to be more concise and clear.
"The request isn't specific enough, please add more details."
This error means more information is needed to process your request, because your current one is too broad. Try to provide additional details to clarify what you are asking for. This could be a year, a city etc.
"Wow, that's quite a complex question! Can you break it down and simplify it for me?"
If your question is too complex, the AI may struggle to understand it. Try simplifying your question by breaking it down into simpler, more direct components.
